February 2022 – Dark Horse 2K 101 and Zwift

Having spent the last month doing challenges, I decided to give one of the courses within The Crew at Dark Horse Rowing a try, I also decided to have a few days break from rowing throughout the month.

I decided to give the 2K 101 a try. As with most of their courses, this is an 8 week course that starts off with a time trial to set the baseline for the various workouts that follow.

I set a new PB on my time trial for the 2K 101 course on 2nd February of 7:18.4 (1:49.6/500m) which places me in the 85th percentile.

The 2K 101 course includes a variety of distance as well as sprint type workouts with 3 mandatory and 2 optional workouts each week.

On 6th February I did 3 laps of the Innsbruck Ring circuit for a total of 26.74km and 231m of elevation in 55:21 with a best time of 16:36 for a circuit and 1:46 for the ‘Leg Snapper’.

Next I did the Two Bridges Loop for a total of 7.12km and 80m of elevation in 16:03.

On 20 February I did the R.G.V. in France, 24.1km and 1km lead in for a total of 25.09km with 133m of elevation in 47:14.

On 27 February I did the Greatest London Loop, 25.6km with 0.5km lead in for a total of 25.88km with 322m of elevation in a time of 1:04:38.

During the month of February I managed a total of 69 hours of exercise, walked 273km climbed 212 flights of stairs, cycled 85km and rowed 169km.

By the end of the month my weight was 14 Stone 13lb (209lb/95kg), no loss and no gain for this month.
