Week 46 (November 13 – November 19) – 7 Million Meters

Monday morning, rest day, took the dog for a nice long walk.

Tuesday morning rowing, in the work gym, 15,012m UT2 session, HR below 135bpm.

stretching, shower breakfast in the canteen and then up to my desk for a meeting.

Tuesday evening rowing, 10,015 ‘keep warm’ session waiting for everyone else to turn up,

Stretching, 6 minute (1,274m) warm up, then 2 x 35:00, 2:00r UT2 (max 135bpm) @20spm

rate crept up to 21spm – this led to extra ‘bicycle kicks’ in the following core session

Core session 1:00 V-Sit, Plank, Dead Bug, Side Plank Left and Right with 30 Bicycle kicks between each exercise, finished off with some stretching (42,911m for the day).

Wednesday rest day, took the dog for a long walk.

Thursday morning rowing, in the work gym, 15,011m UT2 session, HR below 145bpm.

Thursday evening rowing, 15,016m ‘keep warm’ session waiting for everyone else to turn up,

5:45 (1,142m) warm up, then 3 x 20:00, 2:00r UT2 @ 20spm

Core session 1:00 V-Sit, Plank, Dead Bug, Side Plank Left and Right with 20 Bicycle kicks between each exercise, finished off with some stretching (45,222m for the day).

At some point today I passed 7 million meters.

Friday rest day, took the dog for a long walk.

Saturday, morning rowing, still ‘red boards’, 2,661m (12:49.0) ‘warm up’ followed by 2,044m (9:26.7) warm up, then a rate pyramid, 3 x 4,000m rate changes every 1,000m flipping between 20 and 22spm

Core session 1:00 V-Sit, Plank, Dead Bug, Side Plank Left and Right with 20 Russian Twists with a 10Kg kettlebell between each exercise, finished off with some stretching.

Sunday morning rowing, 3,028m (14:44.6) ‘warm up’ then 1,936m (10:27.8) warm up, followed by 40 minutes at 18spm UT2

Heart rate monitor was playing up again, told off for not maintaining 18spm, so more Russian twists in the core session.
