Changed to an to be capable of milling a full sized sheet of MDF.
Swapped the long side from X to Y, less moving mass.
Doubled up on the X and changed to plate aluminium rather than profile for the X carriage.
Plate Aluminium on the ends of the X beam, which is now 80x80mm profile and direct drive for the R&P, rather than a gearbox.
Changed to a much shorter Z axis design, the old one would probably have had way too much flex.
Alternative approach to mounting Rack and also the plates for the X axis, using more designs from CNC Router Parts.
Back to gearboxes and extrusion for the Y axis, reduced Z travel even further.
