The event went ahead despite some high river stream and recent flooding.
Masters C/D/E double sculls (time trial).
Stewart P and I are Masters D (50-55 average age) racing for Staines Boat Club

Official time was 7:32 for the 1,950m course, handicap adjusted to 7:18.
2 teams (C and E) scratched and we beat the other masters C crew by 30 seconds plus the handicap allowance, so a big win for us.

Jonathan K and his wife, Morena, were also racing for Staines that day as a mixed 2x, but as there was no mixed competition, they were racing in the open category and lost by 1 second to a pair of men, so they are well deserved in claiming the moral victory here.
