Henley Royal Regatta 2024

A wonderful day at Henley Royal Regatta on, Thursday 4th July, with a number of other members of Staines Boat Club

You may notice that I am not wearing Staines Green, I am wearing the original colours for Wycliffe College, the school where I learned to row.

Cam Buchan and ‘Big Dog’ Jacko giving it some ‘Yam’ in a double, unfortunately lost out to some lightweight Germans.
The Oars of the Remenham clubs from inside the Remenham Enclosure.
Even older oars for the various clubs above the bar inside the Remenham Club.

A lovely day out with loads of great racing. Fortunately the weather held for us that day, even though it was a bit windy.

The heavens well and truly opened on the Friday and the Remenham Club lawn was under 2-3 inches of water!
