Monday morning rowing, I decided to take it easy with a recovery piece. 2,000m (10:00.1) warm up, then a 10,000m UT2 ‘fat burner’.
I did not feel like doing a cool down as it would just have been more rowing at the same pace as the 10K, so just did some stretching.
Tuesday rest day, no rowing today, giving my body a chance to recharge and recover.
Tuesday evening archery, more longbow shooting for me, enjoyable evening and then down to the Cricket Club for a dringk afterwards.
Wednesday morning rowing, C2 Mud Season Madness starts today, row, ski or ride 5,000m or 10,000m for 25 days in March (double for BikeErg).
2,000m (9:25.0) warm up, 2 x 5,000m, 4:00r for Gloucester preparation,
Didn’t quite get either of them under 20 minutes, but close enough and the second was quicker than the first and that’s all that matters. 2,238m (10:39.2) cool down and stretching.
I seem to be coming down with a head cold so probably won’t go into work tomorrow but will work from home as usual to spare the rest of the office from my sneezing and runny nose.
Thursday morning rowing, feeling somewhat better today having gone to bed after taking a load of pain killers and Actifed. 2,000m (10:0.5) warm up, 10K UT2 steady state,
Decided not to push too hard today off the back of a cold, happy with the ‘fat burner’ and the meters for C2 Mud Season Madness, 2,236m (11:03.4) cool down.
Friday morning skiing 10K at a comfortable pace for C2 Mud Season Madness.
Saturday morning masters rowing, 2.036m (8:42.7) warm up, then more preparation for Gloucester, 4-, stroke seat, warm up to the motorway bridge, Steady state to the bottom at 22spm, back up to the top, then full power piece to the bottom at 26-28spm (13,958m).
Had a cup of tea, then wandered into Staines and bought some Thai spicy chicken and rice for lunch.
I did not feel like a session in my single just yet, so did a 10,000m piece for C2 Mud Season Madness.
Happy with the time, I was not pushing for a PB, but also wanted sub 40 minutes, also pleased that I went faster with each 2K.
Leisure rowing in my 1x ‘Dark Horse’ practicing form at 20-22spm (6,418m).
Sunday morning masters rowing, 2,036m (8:32.3) warm up, then out on the water for more Gloucester preparation, 4-, stroke seat, warm up to the motorway bridge, 26spm to the church, half pressure and 22spm back to the top, 26-30spm to the bottom
22spm half pressure up to the moorings, chasing down the junior 8+ on the way down to the church (13,647m).
Put the boat away, had a cup of tea and headed into Staines and had McDonnalds for brunch before heading back to the boat house.
Even colder outside today, so really not feeling like a second session in the single so did a 10,000m piece for C2 Mud Season Madness instead.
Wasn’t pushing for a fast time today, just wanted to complete the distance and keep warm.
Leisure rowing, leisure 4x, stroke seat, warm up and drills to the motorway bridge, start practice on the way back down and a bridge to bridge piece (3,536m).
During the month of February I managed a total of 129 hours of exercise, walked 214km, climbed 297 flights of stairs, skied 26km, rowed 158km on the Erg and 155km on the water.
By the end of the month my weight was 14 Stone 8lb (204lb/92kg), a loss of 3lbs, slowly bringing the weight back down, although it keeps creeping back up.
