This finally arrived on Sunday while I was out doing the Remenham Challenge:
(Actually the bag arrived a several weeks back, the contents arrived on Sunday).
I ordered on 15th August and was advised it would be around 8 weeks for delivery as it was a custom order (they had no stock so everything was a custom order).
I contacted them again on 10th November to advise that I had paid and it was now 12 weeks and I had not heard anything.
I was advised that my order had arrived and they would ship it out to me.
23rd November I contact them again to advise it had been 2 more weeks and still no delivery, I was again advised my package would be shipped the following week.
8 December I contact them again, still no delivery, apparently the delivery company had not attempted delivery, simply brought them back and not told anyone.
Supplier rang me and advised that they would be refunding my shipping costs and throwing in some t-shirts and other items because this was really not the experience they wanted their customers to have.
15th December, missed call (no ID, no voicemail) whilst on the RowErg, immediately followed by a text from ArrowXL stating issues with the van, no delivery today, please use link to rearrange (link does not work), contact supplier again, more appologies, delivery re-booked for Saturday 17th.
17th December, missed call (no ID, no voicemail) whilst out OTW and another text saying they cannot deliver, auto rebooked for Monday 19th.
18th December package finally delivered much to my surprise when I arrived home.
What was inside?
A pair of Concept 2 Soft, Skinny, Comp oars for my single scull ‘Dark Horse’ :oD
I have just finished setting them up with initial settings of 289cm overall length, 200cm outboard/89cm inboard which with the span on my 1x of 160cm gives a gearing of 2.25.
I can increase the OAL up to 292cm or down to 287cm depending on how the overlap feels, then I get to play with the inboard/outboard some more until they ‘feel’ right.
