Ideas

Initially, I was going to build a cocktail cabinet, which may still happen at some point.

I originally designed it freehand on a piece of paper, then converted it into a Google Sketchup drawing:

I have been a regular lurker over at the Build Your Own Arcade Forums, and decided I would like to build something along the lines of Knievil’s Woody.

I may, or may not have a rotating or modular control panel, but would very much like to have a rotating monitor, and want to try and achieve this by using a car electric window winder mechanism, which is a method that I do not believe has been attempted before (the window winder not the rotating monitor concept).

I have collected most of the controls I intend to use, joysticks, buttons, 3″ trackball, a couple of recoil light guns, etc.

I intend to make use of a PIC controller as a Human Interface Device (HID) as the controller for the inputs, but have many old PCs in pieces that I can scavenge for parts for the rest of the build.
