text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/blog.hslracing.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2020\/05\/MFTC86.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-119 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.hslracing.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2020\/05\/MFTC86-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blog.hslracing.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2020\/05\/MFTC86-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/blog.hslracing.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2020\/05\/MFTC86-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/blog.hslracing.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2020\/05\/MFTC86.jpg 800w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<p>I also used the template to make a pattern jig from an off-cut of the MDF (therefore also free).<\/p>\n<p>To make this, I drilled 3mm holes at the ends and 2mm holes for the intervening 4 holes, I then drilled out the 4 holes on my pillar drill using a 20mm forstner bit so I knew they would be perfectly straight, the point on my Zobo forstner bit is 2mm, hence the 2mm pilot holes.<\/p>\n<p>I then checked the edges of the holes for parallelism with a straight edge.<\/p>\n<p>The jig is then held in place using a pair of 3mm tungsten welding wires while I drill out the 3 holes with the forstner bit.<\/p>\n<div style=\"clear: both;
