Getting Started"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>After deliberating for many years, we finally decided to start the garage conversion.<\/p>\n<p>John Duane of&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/JD-Projects-208626515898966\/\">JD Projects<\/a>&nbsp;was  contracted to perform the work in association with myself, John being a  plaster by trade and more recently undertaking more general building  work, I would be performing the electrical, plumbing work and be an  additional pair of hands for most of the rest of the work.<\/p>\n<p>Unfortunately  I did not take any pictures of how full of &#8216;stuff&#8217; and is held in place with 5 x 200mm screws, each with  two of the rubber washers to close the gap behind the batten.<\/p>\n<p>The black cables you see in the above picture are for the various satellite dishes on the side of the house.<\/p>\n<p>One  is from the 16 way distribution unit in the loft that are fed from the  quattro LNB on a 60cm dish that faces the Astra satellites at 28.2  degrees East (mainly for Sky)<\/p>\n<p>One is fed via a 4 way <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/DiSEqC\">DiSEqC<\/a>&nbsp;switch that has the following connections:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>an additional Astra 28.2 feed from the 16 way distribution box<\/li>\n<li>Eutelsat Hot Bird&nbsp;at 13 degrees East as primary focus on a 60cm dish<\/li>\n<li>Astra at 19.2 degrees east as a secondary focus on the same 60cm dish<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The third is a feed from a 90cm trackable dish that can pick up most of the satellites viewable from a London location.<\/p>\n<p>The final cable is for the 24&#8243;
