A coat of better quality white paint was applied to the ceilings, followed by a yet another coat under the stairs.<\/p>\n
For months my wife had been convinced that the perfect colour for the walls in the hall, stairs, landing area was ‘Laura Ashley Gold’, however, when we started painting this on the walls, we were no longer quite so convinced.<\/p>\n
Having painted a few small areas, it was looking like the hallway was going to end up rather dark if we continued with this colour.<\/p>\n
We then proceeded to try a further three or four tester colours before deciding that ‘Laura Ashley Dune’ was the best colour, which is effectively a grey paint with a faint hint of green or ‘mint’<\/p>\n
Unfortunately this colour is not available in a 5L tin, is out of stock at the main warehouse and they have no idea when it will come back in.<\/p>\n
So if we want to go ahead with this colour, we will need to find several 2.5L tins at local stores and hope we can find enough to finish the whole area.<\/p>\n
After managing to find a single 2.5L tin in the nearby stores, we decided to try a Dulux colour match, and the closest colour was some numbered paint, but this was too green.<\/p>\n
We then decided to try yet another tester and settled on ‘Laura Ashley Pale Twine’, which is available in the local stores in 5L tins.<\/p>\n
