{"id":836,"date":"2022-12-20T16:51:46","date_gmt":"2022-12-20T16:51:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blog.hslracing.com\/fitness\/?p=836"},"modified":"2023-01-07T16:46:37","modified_gmt":"2023-01-07T16:46:37","slug":"giant-lollipops","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.hslracing.com\/fitness\/2022\/12\/20\/giant-lollipops\/","title":{"rendered":"Giant Lollipops"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This finally arrived on Sunday while I was out doing the Remenham Challenge:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/blog.hslracing.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/12\/2022\/12\/IMG_2031.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-838 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.hslracing.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/12\/2022\/12\/IMG_2031-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blog.hslracing.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/12\/2022\/12\/IMG_2031-225x300.jpg 225w, https:\/\/blog.hslracing.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/12\/2022\/12\/IMG_2031.jpg 600w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 225px) 100vw, 225px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>(Actually the bag arrived a several weeks back, the contents arrived on Sunday).<\/p>\n<p>I ordered on 15th August and was advised it would be around 8 weeks for delivery as it was a custom order (they had no stock so everything was a custom order).<\/p>\n<p>I contacted them again on 10th November to advise that I had paid and it was now 12 weeks and I had not heard anything.<\/p>\n<p>I was advised that my order had arrived and they would ship it out to me.<\/p>\n<p>23rd November I contact them again to advise it had been 2 more weeks and still no delivery, I was again advised my package would be shipped the following week.<\/p>\n<p>8 December I contact them again, still no delivery, apparently the delivery company had not attempted delivery, simply brought them back and not told anyone.<\/p>\n<p>Supplier rang me and advised that they would be refunding my shipping costs and throwing in some t-shirts and other items because this was really not the experience they wanted their customers to have.<\/p>\n<p>15th December, missed call (no ID, no voicemail) whilst on the RowErg, immediately followed by a text from ArrowXL stating issues with the van, no delivery today, please use link to rearrange (link does not work), contact supplier again, more appologies, delivery re-booked for Saturday 17th.<\/p>\n<p>17th December, missed call (no ID, no voicemail) whilst out OTW and another text saying they cannot deliver, auto rebooked for Monday 19th.<\/p>\n<p>18th December package finally delivered much to my surprise when I arrived home.<\/p>\n<p>What was inside?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/blog.hslracing.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/12\/2022\/12\/IMG_2030.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-837 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.hslracing.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/12\/2022\/12\/IMG_2030-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blog.hslracing.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/12\/2022\/12\/IMG_2030-225x300.jpg 225w, https:\/\/blog.hslracing.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/12\/2022\/12\/IMG_2030.jpg 600w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 225px) 100vw, 225px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>A pair of Concept 2 Soft, Skinny, Comp oars for my single scull &#8216;Dark Horse&#8217; :oD<\/p>\n<p>I have just finished setting them up with initial settings of 289cm overall length, 200cm outboard\/89cm inboard which with the span on my 1x of 160cm gives a gearing of 2.25.<\/p>\n<p>I can increase the OAL up to 292cm or down to 287cm depending on how the overlap feels, then I get to play with the inboard\/outboard some more until they &#8216;feel&#8217; right.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This finally arrived on Sunday while I was out doing the Remenham Challenge: (Actually the bag arrived a several weeks back, the contents arrived on Sunday).
