Revolutions and Virtual Team Challenge"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>My next <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zwift.com\/\">Zwift<\/a> ride was on 3 January when I did the <a href=\"https:\/\/zwiftinsider.com\/route\/tempus-fugit\/\">Tempus Fugit<\/a> route on Fuego Flats for 11.17km and 19m of elevation in a time of 21:32.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blog.hslracing.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/12\/2022\/04\/Tempus-Fugit1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-62 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.hslracing.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/12\/2022\/04\/Tempus-Fugit1-300x162.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"162\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blog.hslracing.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/12\/2022\/04\/Tempus-Fugit1-300x162.jpg 300w, https:\/\/blog.hslracing.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/12\/2022\/04\/Tempus-Fugit1-768x416.jpg 768w, https:\/\/blog.hslracing.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/12\/2022\/04\/Tempus-Fugit1.jpg 800w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>There were a couple of challenges for January, so of course I decided to do them both.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/log.concept2.com\/challenges\/january\">January Revolutions<\/a> involved a choice of any one of the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Stretch &#8211; row, ski or ride at least 500m for 20 days in January<\/li>\n<li>The Big Stretch &#8211; row, ski or ride at least 500m every day in January<\/li>\n<li>The Haul &#8211; row, ski or ride for 15 Hours in January<\/li>\n<li>The Long Haul &#8211; row, ski or ride for 30 Hours in January<\/li>\n<li>The Burn &#8211; row, ski or ride 10,000 calories in January<\/li>\n<li>The Long Burn &#8211; row, ski or ride 20,000 calories in January<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>I chose to do the Long Burn, although I also sort of decided to see if I could all of the challenges at once.<\/p>\n<p>The second one was the <a href=\"https:\/\/log.concept2.com\/challenges\/vtc\">Virtual Team Challenge<\/a>, where you row as many metres as possible to contribute to your chosen team.<\/p>\n<p>I set a new half marathon PB on 16 January of 1:33:59.6 which placed me in the 44th percentile.<\/p>\n<p>I achieved all of the January Revolutions challenges except the row at least 500m every day as I missed the first two days and then a couple of others as well.<\/p>\n<p>In total I managed 26 days of rowing, 32.27 hours rowing and 22554 calories.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blog.hslracing.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/12\/2022\/04\/Screenshot-2022-04-03-at-16.00.19.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-55 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.hslracing.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/12\/2022\/04\/Screenshot-2022-04-03-at-16.00.19-231x300.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"231\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blog.hslracing.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/12\/2022\/04\/Screenshot-2022-04-03-at-16.00.19-231x300.png 231w, https:\/\/blog.hslracing.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/12\/2022\/04\/Screenshot-2022-04-03-at-16.00.19.png 615w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 231px) 100vw, 231px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I also contributed 401,096m for the Dark Horse Rowing team in the Virtual Team Challenge which placed the team 14th, I was the 6th highest contributor.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blog.hslracing.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/12\/2022\/04\/Screenshot-2022-04-03-at-16.03.23.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-56 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.hslracing.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/12\/2022\/04\/Screenshot-2022-04-03-at-16.03.23-231x300.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"231\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blog.hslracing.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/12\/2022\/04\/Screenshot-2022-04-03-at-16.03.23-231x300.png 231w, https:\/\/blog.hslracing.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/12\/2022\/04\/Screenshot-2022-04-03-at-16.03.23.png 617w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 231px) 100vw, 231px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>On 23 January I did a couple of laps of the <a href=\"https:\/\/zwiftinsider.com\/route\/tempus-fugit\/\">Tempus Fugit<\/a> route in both directions for a total of 37.23km and 58m of elevation in a time of 1:18:09.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blog.hslracing.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/12\/2022\/04\/Tempus-Fugit2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-63 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.hslracing.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/12\/2022\/04\/Tempus-Fugit2-300x162.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"162\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blog.hslracing.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/12\/2022\/04\/Tempus-Fugit2-300x162.jpg 300w, https:\/\/blog.hslracing.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/12\/2022\/04\/Tempus-Fugit2-768x416.jpg 768w, https:\/\/blog.hslracing.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/12\/2022\/04\/Tempus-Fugit2.jpg 800w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>Then on 29 January I did 10 counter clockwise laps of the <a href=\"https:\/\/zwiftinsider.com\/route\/volcano-circuit-ccw\/\">Volcano Circuit<\/a>, for a total of 44.69km and 221m of elevation in a time of 1:30:22, with a best time of 7:43 for a circuit.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blog.hslracing.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/12\/2022\/04\/Volcano-Circuit-CCW.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-61 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.hslracing.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/12\/2022\/04\/Volcano-Circuit-CCW-300x162.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"162\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blog.hslracing.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/12\/2022\/04\/Volcano-Circuit-CCW-300x162.jpg 300w, https:\/\/blog.hslracing.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/12\/2022\/04\/Volcano-Circuit-CCW-768x416.jpg 768w, https:\/\/blog.hslracing.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/12\/2022\/04\/Volcano-Circuit-CCW.jpg 800w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>During the month of January I managed a total of 132 hours of exercise, walked 522km climbed 230 flights of stairs, cycled 93km and rowed 401km.<\/p>\n<p>By the end of the month my weight was 14 Stone 13lb (209lb\/95kg), a loss of 2lb (0.9kg).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>My next Zwift ride was on 3 January when I did the Tempus Fugit route on Fuego Flats for 11.17km and 19m of elevation in a time of 21:32.
