Staines Regatta 27\/07\/2024<\/p>\n

Our home regatta, where I am competing in a double and a quad on Saturday, we also entered a double for Sunday, but our entry was rejected due to a lack of competition.<\/p>\n

Masters E\/F 2x semi final with Mark F (850m)<\/p>\n

Staines Boat Club (E) vs Eton Excelsior RC (E).<\/p>\n

Managed to bump a bush 250m into the course, but didn’t really affect us, very close race, a win to Staines by 1\/2 length<\/p>\n

Winning time was 3:21<\/p>\n

Masters E\/F 2x final with Mark F (850m)<\/p>\n

Staines Boat Club (E) vs Eton Excelsior RC (F), (Eton had a 10s head start).<\/p>\n

Eton were over 4 lengths away from us before we started, we did our best to chase them down, I steered a much better course this time.<\/p>\n

A win to Eton by 1 1\/2 lengths, 10s was just too much for us to chase down over 850m<\/p>\n

Winning time was 3:36<\/p>\n

I failed to hit start on the GoPro, so no onboard footage for today.<\/p>\n

Masters C 4x final with Mark F, myself, Mark G and Jonathan K (850m)<\/p>\n

Staines Boat Club (C) vs Walbrook RC (C).<\/p>\n

They had us on the start, we rowed through them and stayed ahead for most of the race, we went a little wide at the finish and unfortunately they snuck up the inside for the win.<\/p>\n
