Molesey Regatta 20\/7\/2024<\/p>\n

Jonathan K and myself racing in the masters C double sculls quarter final (850m) Staines Boat Club (C) vs Walbrook RC (C).<\/p>\n

Congratulations on the win to Walbrook.<\/p>\n

Unfortunately I managed to inspect the local foliage 250m into the course and lost us 15 seconds, we were already down by 2 1\/2 lengths at this point.<\/p>\n

After extracting ourselves and setting off again, I steered a much better course and we were making pretty good time<\/p>\n

We ultimately lost by 5 lengths (12s) so I am pretty sure Wablrook rated down after they saw us in the trees.<\/p>\n

Walbrook went on to win the semi final (easily) and the final by 3 lengths, so easily the best crew of the 6 in our class, unfortunately for us we met them in the first race.<\/p>\n

I do have onboard footage from this event, but I have yet to create a video of it, I will update this post as and when I post that video.<\/p>\n

The Staines BC masters ladies had a better time in their quad, winning their event<\/p>\n
