Just my luck –\u00a0Pacific Bearings<\/a>\u00a0decided to discontinue the\u00a0IVTAAS<\/a>\u00a0extrusion in April 2012!<\/p>\n

Ah well back to the (virtual) drawing board again.<\/p>\n

This time making use of the\u00a0IVTAAN<\/a>\u00a0extrusion:<\/p>\n

The frame is all\u00a0Unistrut<\/a>, and all based on 1.5m lengths (easily cut down from standard 3m lengths of\u00a0Unistrut<\/a>).<\/div>\n

The quote I received from Alldrives (one of the UK distributors for Pacific Bearings) was:<\/div>\n
2 x IVTAANR-1500-O0O – \u00a357.47 each (Y axis rails)<\/div>\n
1 x IVRANQR-1000-O0O – \u00a382.47 (X axis rail)<\/div>\n
1 x IVRANQR-400-O0O – \u00a339.19 (Z axis rail)<\/div>\n

Whilst these are not horrific prices, they are still nearly double what these extrusions can be had for in the States.<\/div>\n

Their prices for the V groove bearings however almost made me choke at over \u00a311.00 each, when I can potentially buy them on\u00a0ebay<\/a>\u00a0for about \u00a33.50 each including shipping.<\/div>\n
